Work Agreement: 185 days, 7-8 hours per day

Hourly Pay: Starts at $16.76 and is based on related experience 

 

Crete Public Schools is seeking applications for a bilingual para educator to start immediately.

Benefits include 76% paid single health insurance, long-term disability insurance, and sick and personal leave.  

This position is flexible and can accommodate either full-time or part-time hours based on your availability. However, a preference is given to full-time availability.

       

This position is open until filled. 

 

Essential Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Satisfactory completion of criminal background check
  3. Work well with children and co-workers
  4. First aid knowledge preferred, but not required
  5. Bilingual (translate and interpret in Spanish) 

 

Job Tasks:

  1. Provide interpretation and translation services in the school setting as needed. 
  2. Assist with communication during district functions, such as parent-teacher conferences, meetings, and other events. 
  3. Ensure accurate and clear translation of information to facilitate effective communication between students, teachers, school staff, and parents. 
  4. Collaborate with the classroom teacher in order to assist students in meeting individual goals.  
  5. Assist children individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts.  
  6. Supervise students in a variety of capacities (classroom, hallway, playground, etc.).
  7. Assist classroom teachers in a variety of capacities such as preparing lesson materials, bulletin board displays, sanitizing the room, etc.
