Reports to: Building Principal

Daily Pay: $185.00

Date Available: August 14, 2024

 

Crete Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants for full time Substitute Teacher positions at Crete Middle School, grades 6-8. The role of a Substitute Teacher is to ensure that students receive quality instruction in the absence of their regular teacher.

 

This position will report each day students are in session to an assigned building. Benefits include 4 paid leave days. This position does not guarantee continued employment. Upon successful completion of this assignment, applicants may receive continued employment for the following school year. This position is open until filled. 

 

Essential Requirements: 

  • Valid State Substitute Certificate or capability to obtain certification  
  • Satisfactory completion of criminal background check

 

Teaching State Substitute Permit: 

Certified substitute teachers are individuals who hold a bachelor degree or higher in education and have a Nebraska teaching certificate. 

 

The State Substitute Teaching Permit is valid for five (5) years and authorizes teaching in any subject at any level with an unlimited number of days teaching. (https://dc2.education.ne.gov/tc_interactive_teaching2/TeachingStateSubPermit.aspx)

Requirements:

  1. Completion of Baccalaureate Degree
  2. Completion of a Teacher Education Program at a state approved college or university
  3. Completion of the Human Relations Training Requirement (https://www.education.ne.gov/tcert/human-relations-training/)

  • Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and School Board Policies.

  • Excellent communication skills oral and written
